Providing clean water to as many people as possible both as a commercial undertaking and social responsibility
Special advisor to the World Bank, Ismail Serageldin, remarked that “the wars of the next century will be about water.”More than 1.2 billion people around the world live in what are termed water-stressed conditions due to regional water scarcity, and that number is expected to rise as the world population increases. Water despite being a basic human need, remains inadequate especially considering that the natural sources (Rainfall and Rivers) have increasingly become unreliable for the obvious reason of climate changes occasioned mainly by environmental degradation.
As an established water management company, we encounter plenty of social problems when conducting our services in remote places of Indonesian archipelago. One of them is the inabilty of local people to obtain clean water continuously. SUPRA Foundation committed to maintain sustainable growth through community empowerment, care for the environment and various social approaches. Our vision is to provide safe, affordable and reliable clean water to as many people as possible both as a commercial undertaking and social responsibility. This involves partnering with individual clients with financial ability as well as community based organizations, NGOs and Government. SUPRA Foundation always strives to maintain a balance between its business interests and its responsibility toward the community, the environment and social welfare.
