Project Overview

In 2025, Perumda Air Minum Tirta Raharja, Kabupaten Bandung, collaborated with SUPRA International and GF Piping Systems to implement advanced pressure management at Control Point (CP) Bongkok. The objective was to stabilize downstream pressure, reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW), and improve water service reliability.

GF Piping Systems is a Switzerland-based global leader in piping systems and fluid control solutions, operating in over 30 countries. Known for precision engineering and innovative materials, GF specializes in lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and high-efficiency products for water, chemical, and industrial applications.

Technology and Approach

The solution deployed was the GF NeoFlow Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV), a next-generation PRV that combines:

• Lightweight polymer construction up to 9 times lighter than conventional brass or iron PRVs, enabling faster, safer installation.


• High accuracy by maintaining stable outlet pressure even under variable demand.


• Low head-loss design that ensures minimal energy loss in the system.


• Corrosion-resistant materials that extending operational life and reducing maintenance.

At CP Bongkok, the PRV was calibrated to inlet pressure 4.2 bar and outlet pressure 0.8 bar, significantly improving hydraulic balance across the network.

Project Outcomes

• NRW reduction from 62.68% to 56.63%.


• Monthly water savings of approximately 303 m³.


• Lower risk of pipe bursts and leakage due to reduced pressure stress.


• Improved consistency of water supply to customers.

Strategic Impact

This project is about how targeted pressure management, combined with new PRV technology, can deliver measurable operational and financial benefits for water utilities. PDAM was able to optimize performance without costly infrastructure overhauls by leveraging NeoFlow’s lightweight design and precision control,
